ACEs Training

Level One: ACE Awareness and Intervention Training

The ACE Awareness and Intervention Training  is a one-day course that will provide any practitioner working with families and children to understand ACEs and toxic stress.

The training will explore the impact ACEs has on individuals and how we can support clients to build resilience and protective factors to mitigate ACEs.

The training will also support delegates to understand trauma informed practice and how they can apply these principles to their work.

Training delivery

We can deliver this training in two ways.  The first is up to 25 delegates in one day and will be delivered by one trainer.  The second option we provide is to deliver this training for up to 60 delegates in one day and will be delivered by two trainers.    Please contact us to discuss in more detail.

What people say about this training

In April 2018, Rock Pool provided Ace Awareness Training for Birmingham Safeguarding Adults Board and its partners.

We specifically engaged Sue and Rock Pool because of their vast experience and talent in delivering this training in a multi-agency environment.

The Board has over 160 partner agencies that range from faith groups. Third sector, the Police, fire service, NHS and the Local Authority, so someone confident in working with a wide array of needs and experiences was critical to our success.

Sue and the team absolutely understood our ambitions and delivered training that hit the mark perfectly ensuring that all partner organisations were full engaged. We ended the day feeling informed, challenged and energised to work together to have the biggest impact. The participant feedback has been extremely positive and productive partnership activity has quickly followed.

We are grateful to Sue and to Rock Pool and we will be working with them again in the future.
